As part of the Southern Downs Water Security Strategy, Council is seeking feedback on community values and knowledge of our local water resources. The information gathered will provide local data on the actions and behaviours which are most important to our residents as well as providing current information on opportunities to further secure our water supplies for the future.
Lifeline Darling Downs | Community Connections Program

Hay Bales for Farmers in Drought 2018
Community organisations will deliver hay bales to provide drought relief to farmers on the Southern Downs. Rural Aid, Purple Dove, Stanthorpe Agricultural Society, and the Granite Belt Brewery will deliver hay bales along with other farming supplies to Stanthorpe Showgrounds October 31st with Southern Downs Regional Council helping coordinate efforts.
