Australia Day in Stanthorpe 26th January 2018

Stanthorpe  Australia Day, have a range of activities running throughout the day.

Starting at the Stanthorpe Pool.

Under-12s will need to be at the pool by 6.30am for a 7am start,

Pool opens by 7am for an 8am start, Camille Cantrel Classic Mercantile Relay

Start at noon, free entry after 2pm. Fun will continue in throughout the afternoon in Weeroona Park,

Australia Day activities such as Billy Boiling, Chainsaw Races and Woodchops.

Kent Saddlery will also be in the park with whip cracking performances.

For the younger kids, face painting and craft activities will be available.

Formal events of the day will begin at around 3.45pm in the park, with the flag raising then,

Citizenship ceremony Australia Day messages and Australia Day awards ceremony.

Southern Downs Regional Council mayor Tracy Dobie encouraged everyone to participate.
