We are pleased invite you to enter the 2020 Stanthorpe Art Prize.
Established in 1972, the biennial Stanthorpe Art Prize is the second oldest art competition in Queensland and is open to both emerging and professional artists and one of the top 10 art prizes in regional Australia. The Stanthorpe Art Prize is open to Australian artists who have the opportunity of winning one of eleven categories, with prizes totaling $50,000, including $22,000 as the major prize.
For 2020 we have differentiated the prizes in order to acknowledge the diverse forms of art. There are six new category prizes valued at $3,500 each, and Best in Show will be chosen from one of these six.
Artist’s can review the full entry requirements, see previous winners artworks, and enter online at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery website www.srag.org.au.
It is expected that up to 160 finalists artworks will be on display during the exhibition period. The exhibition will be open from 5 June – 29 July 2020. Members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite artwork with the most popular scoring $1500 in the public choice award.
