SUMMARY:Annual Amnesty Variety Concert – Stanthorpe
DESCRIPTION:  \nSTANTHORPE’S Little Theatre will be the setting for a music concert to fight for human rights. \nThe third annual variety concert\, hosted by Amnesty’s Stanthorpe action group\, will take place on Friday\, October 13\, at 7pm to raise awareness for Amnesty International campaigns. \nThis year the focus is on the rights of refugees and people seeking asylum\, as well as indigenous rights issues. \nThe Stanthorpe group is excited to hold the concert for the third year in a row. \nA representative said both previous concerts were very successful and the group was thrilled with the reaction from the local community. \nTickets will be sold at the door – adult $10\, concession $8\, child $5. \nSupper will be provided. \nFor more information please contact Peter on 0477 951 051

DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday 15 October 2017 \nWelcome to Mick Bradford’s Heavy Horse Day\, an event to showcase farming equipment from the 1800’s and 1900’s in the days when the horse power was really the power of the horse. See examples of farming equipment from the Sunshine Harvesters Works\, Massey Harris\, International Harvester Company\, McCormick Deering and other manufacturers. \nAlso see other farming activities on show from the 1800’s and 1900’s. The Heavy Horse Day is held on the outskirts of Yangan\, a small township east of Warwick\, and approximately 2 hours from Brisbane\, Queensland. \n\n\n\nYangan is situated approx 22 km’s east of Warwick. The city of Warwick is accessible from various directions from Brisbane to the east using the Cunningham Highway\, from Toowoomba to the North\, from Goondiwindi to the West from the Newell\, and from Stanthorpe in the South via the New England Highway.
