DESCRIPTION:27 September to 3 November 2018 \nTuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm\,   Closed Sunday and Monday \nOrange Wall Gallery\, 4+ Albion Street\, Warwick \nThe works in this exhibition are loaded with meaning and feature a broad range of techniques including drawing\, printmaking\, sculpture\, painting and photography. The true pleasure in the exhibition comes from the challenge of interpreting the symbolism and concepts behind the works. \nOne of the most interesting works in the exhibition is a lenticular image by year 12 art student Prisca Albendia. These artworks change appearance and meaning when viewed from different angles. Prisca has explored the public’s perception of youth in her work and challenges us to look beyond our generalised attitudes to youth to see their potential. \nThe exhibition title “In Sight” was decided by the students themselves who also participated in the creation of promotional images\, labels and the exhibition catalogue.

DESCRIPTION:It’s on Friday 19 October at Lions Park\, Quart Pot Creek. \nWe will come together and transform the darkness into a sea of glowing light to beat blood cancer. \nIt’s your night to walk beside those facing their own blood cancer journey\, and to remember loved ones lost. \nBut it’s more than that – it’s your time to help raise vital funds for urgently needed blood cancer research. \nA Lions sausage sizzle\, soft drinks\, sweet treats\, a multi-draw raffle\, face painting. \nPlease bring chairs and picnic rugs . \nThis year’s line up of entertainment for the 2018 Light the Night is awesome. 5.00-5.30pm: Belinda\, Esther and Morwenna.\n5.30-5.55pm: David & Sarah\n5.55pm: Event briefing\n6.00-6.15pm: St Joseph’s Choir and Jo\n6.15-6.30pm: Belinda\,Esther and Morwenna\n6.30pm: Official Ceremony including the Light the Night walk.
