  1. Ananda Marga

Ananda Marga holds the annual Ananda Mela festival at its Ananda Palli property in Severnlea. The festival promotes health and wellbeing by celebrating cultural diversity and providing space for local health practitioners, artists and activists to present their work.
Ananda Marga promotes better psychic and physical health by teaching meditation and yoga free of charge. We also organise a diverse range of programmes in coordination with other groups. Examples include Permaculture and organic gardening workshops, writers workshops, promotion of co-operative and social enterprise, de-tox retreats...

  2. Australian Breastfeeding Association

The Australian Breastfeeding Association Tenterfield-Granite Group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers. We hold coffee mornings on the fourth Thursday of the month in Stanthorpe, Qld. Sometimes the mornings include a discussion on breastfeeding or other parenting topics, and sometimes they are simply a Chat'n'Play, a chance for mums and their young children to come along and socialise together. Relaxed get-togethers with other mums, bubs and toddlers. All mums welcome regardless of how your baby is fed or how old they are; children welcome.
