Queensland Youth Week (QYW19), to be held from 3 to 14 April 2019, is an annual celebration allowing us all to reflect on young people aged 12 to 25 and the positive contributions they make to Queensland communities.
The theme for 2019 is ‘unlimited’ – celebrating the boundless energy young people bring to our communities and encouraging them to look to the future and see limitless possibilities.
Southern Downs Calendar of Events
Several organisations and groups in the Southern Downs region are holding events and activities during Youth Week and these are outlined in the attached Southern Downs Youth Week Calendar of Events. The calendar can also be downloaded from Council’s website here.
Please share the calendar with any young people you know who might be interested in taking part in any of the activities on offer.
UNLIMITED! Council’s signature Youth Week event for Grades 7 – 12 | Register now!
Also, this year’s Southern Downs Regional Council signature Youth Week event is UNLIMITED! This is an initiative of the Southern Downs Youth Council and is for young people in Grade 7 – 12 who are keen on a challenge, like the outdoors, love adventure and are ready for some ! Offered as 3 x 1-day activity programs, with participation by registration with up to 150 places available at each 1-day program. You can find the flyer and download the registration form here.
