Johnny Cash Country Festival 2018
The outstanding success of Stanthorpe’s 2017 Johnny Cash Country Festival confirmed the organisers objective of it becoming an annual event generating to our local economy.
This year’s Festival will be held on November 2nd & 3rd at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds.
The Festival celebrates the fact that Johnny Cash and wife June Carter visited Stanthorpe regularly during the 1980s and 1990s. They came to love this small country town, its people and the district, hence their regular visits.
This year’s main event will again feature one of Australia’s top Johnny Cash Tribute bands, supported by three well respected Country & Rockabilly groups celebrating music of the era. There will also be a market, an American themed menu, and full bar service.
Pre-concert activities: Friday 2nd Once again, we will have our movie night on the Friday night, featuring Johnny Cash themed films (charges apply).
Then on Saturday morning in the town centre, we will hold our Man in Black song contest along with other musical entertainment (free event). This was so much fun last year!
