My uploaded file will not open, show in page or allow me to select it.

Special characters like å, ä, ö. do not get encoded by our media library compression plugin, and as such Internet Explorer and some other broswers run into trouble and are unable to open the files that have these characters in their names. The only & immediate work-around is to rename your files and re-upload them.

I deleted my media library folder(s), but the size of my allocated space is still the same.

If you delete a folder in the media library all files in this folder are moved to “Unorganized”, as this is only a relational database stored in MYSQL and will only remove the relational data. To erase files, you need to click and then trash them, OR view the media library in list mode, and select multiple files to erase
