Chill n Chat @ Cornerstone may be of interest to you or people you work alongside.

It is a welcoming group that provides connection and learning, and all are welcome.

The Chill’N’Chat @ Cornerstone group meets every Monday (except public or school holidays) behind St Vincent de Paul Cornerstone in Grafton Street from 12pm to 1.30pm (or as advised otherwise). Facilitators are myself and Heidi Davidson from HOA Drug Arm, kindly supported by St Vincent de Paul Cornerstone.

Everything is free, lunch is provided and together we learn about…

  • Mental wellness
  • Mindfulness & self-care
  • Changing unhelpful behaviours
  • Managing addiction
  • Social skills

… while working on art/craft activities, sometimes going on short outings, etc.

Everyone is welcome and the group is particularly suitable for those who may be seeking a safe space to connect with others.

The group also offers the opportunity for people to get to know Heidi and myself, with a view to reducing the barriers to seeking assistance for substance abuse, gambling issues, or other personal challenges.

We would like to encourage others in the region to offer this supportive group to their clients, and/or accompany them if they like.

Poster attached. The group starts 29th April, 12pm with lunch.  The following Monday is a public holiday, then on Monday 13th we are planning a Tree of Life workshop (10am to 1pm) for group participants. This workshop will be held at Warwick library.
